I ended up running it and I had the following feedback: I think the REDACTED is too oppressive at the start, and my players ended up going up through the cafeteria and ended up bailing with 2, but not all of the targets and the problem unresolved. I almost wish it took a room or two to move. The rifle did indeed follow its description but in the process sliced the user in half across the middle. (Probably the first death in me running mothership) , which obviously decompressed the room and forced the others to flee with the top half of his body. I think they saved the art appraiser.
I think if you gave the REDACTED an extra room before it moves rooms for the first time, hearing the scraping sounds, would be pretty damn creepy. I think it has a great atmosphere and will absolutely throw fot a loop most Mothership players used to antagonists whose role could be filled by a guy in a rubber suit.
Actually grossed and scared me a bit. Especially the "portrait of a union head" which feels so effortlessly evil.
In a good way, I hope?
